Doha, Qatar, October 9, 2011 – Sollys Nestle Osasco held off a Chang Bangkok rally en route to winning 25-17, 25-21, 24-26, 26-24 on Sunday in the first match for both teams in the FIVB Volleyball Women's Club World Championship in Doha, Qatar.
Sollys Nestle Osasco Coach Luizomar Moura: I am very happy with the performance of my team. The opponent has strong players. It is considered a great experience to our players to play against an Asian team. My team played without five important players who are competing in the Pan American Games.
Sollys Nestle Osasco Captain Juliana Costa: I am satisfied with the result. We played against a strong team. We could win the match on the third set.
Chang Bangkok Coach K. Radchatagriengaki: Congratulation for the two teams. We played four sets and the score was near in all of the sets. I am happy this year because we improved much more than the last year. I wish good luck for us and the Brazilian team in this competition.
Chang Bangkok Captain Apinyapong Wilavan: Congratulation for the Brazilian team and good luck for our team. The Brazilian team has strong and tall players. We committed many mistakes that resulted in the defeat.
