Doha, Qatar, October 9, 2011 – Trentino Diatec Trento (1-0), Zenit Kazan (2-0) and Sesi Sao Paulo (1-0) secured victories on the second day of the FIVB Men’s Club World Championship in Doha, Qatar.
Day three of the FIVB Volleyball Men's Club World Championships starts at 3 p.m. with Canada’s Trinity Western Spartans Vancouver (0-1) challenging Iran’s Paykan Tehran (0-2), followed by Poland’s KS Jastrzebski Wegiel (1-0) facing Russia’s Zenit Kazan at 5 p.m. and Brazil’s Sesi Sao Paulo concluding the day against Egypt’s Al-Ahly Cairo (0-2) at 7 p.m.

Zenit Kazan leads Pool A with six points and a 2-0 record, but KS Jastrzebski will look to give the Russian club their first loss of the tournament while improving to 2-0 in the process. Trinity Western Spartans Vancouver and Paykan Tehran are both seeking their first wins of the tournament in a must-win situation to stay alive for the semifinal round. The top two teams in both Pool A and Pool B advance to the semifinals on October 13, while the bottom two teams are eliminated from the tournament.
Sesi Sao Paulo will look to improve to 2-0 with six points on Monday as they play Al-Ahly Cairo, which seeks their first victory of the tournament.
