Team profile

Trentino added to their already bulging trophy cabinet over the 2010/11 season yet again as Radostin Stoytchev’s side sealed a second FIVB Volleyball Men’s Club World Championship title as well as the Champions League and the Italian League, underlining their status as the world’s premier club.

The secret of this success can be found in the work put in by Stoytchev as well as many other individuals such as Bulgarian captain Matey Kazyiski and Cuban spiker Juantorena.

The club continues to grow each year thanks to a large number of fans that follow the side wherever they play.

This year has also seen the squad grow, offering Stoytchev a wide range of choice.

Coach profile

Radostin Stoytchev is now in his fifth season with Trentino and since arriving has had an incredible effect on the club.

Joining from Dynamo Moscow, Stoytchev led the Italian club to the national title in his opening season with them.

The 2008-09 season was also successful for Stoytchev as he helped the side clinch the CEV Champions League as well as the FIVB Club World Championship following its return after a long hiatus.

Then in 2010 he took the team to a second straight CEV Champions League title as well as the Italian Cup and a historic second Club World Championship title.

After sealing the Champions League and the Italian League again in 2011, Stoytchev will be searching for a hat trick of victories in Doha.

He was also appointed as coach of the Bulgaria men’s team in 2010.
