We achieved minimum goal, says Bergamo coach Mazzanti

Lucia Bosetti was the best scorer in the bronze-medal match with 20 points

Mirador coach Marcos Kwiek:
"I can only praise this Championship as we were very impressed by the city of Doha. Back home I will start working with our national teams as I am the coordinator of all the women's national squads in the Dominican Republic. We have many important international competitions coming up next year, including the junior World Championship in Peru, and by the end of the year I will work again with Mirador to try to earn once again the right to represent NORCECA at this competition in Qatar. As for today's game, we made too many mistakes but this happens when you have a team that includes five players who are still juniors."

Mirador captain Niverka Marte:
"We made too many mistakes today but I am generally happy with this tournament. Congratulations to Bergamo for their win and the bronze medal."

Foppapedretti Bergamo coach Davide Mazzanti:
"It was not easy to motivate my girls after the very bad performance we had yesterday against (Sollys) Osasco. Nevertheless we played this game as we wanted to, risking with our serve and organising our block well. We achieved our minimum goal, namely third place. For sure we wanted more as we came here to Qatar to win the trophy but we have the consolation that we were able to achieve at least our minimum goal."

Foppapedretti Bergamo captain Francesca Piccinini:
"I am happy with this win and the third place. I am still very sorry for the defeat we suffered yesterday against the Brazilians but today is another day and I want to enjoy this victory and the bronze medal."
