Beaten Kenyans earn Mazzanti praise

Kenya Prisons captain Brackcides Khadambi seeks a way past Lucia Bosetti's block

Foppapedretti Bergamo coach Davide Mazzanti:
"I used this game as an opportunity to take some more risks, that resulted into a few mistakes but nevertheless our performance was pretty OK. We'll have to work on our block and defence system for the semi against the Brazilians (Sollys Osasco), especially since they have very good attackers. On the other hand, I would like to congratulate the Kenyan team and praise their attitude. They always play with a smile even when they make mistakes and this is a joy to watch."

Foppapedretti Bergamo player Serena Ortolani:
"We made some mistakes but generally our performance was not too bad. We will take a rest and try to make the necessary adjustments before we go for the semis."

Kenya Prisons coach David Lungaho:
"Once again I would like to state that it is a real honour for my team to compete in this championship and to play excellent teams like the one from Italy. I am pretty happy with our performance even though we made too many mistakes. When we go back to Kenya we'll take a lot of positives from this experience and we also know what we have to work on for the future."

Kenya Prisons captain Brackcides Khadambi:
"It was quite a good match, we know some of the Italian girls because we met at the World Championships in Japan, and they are so good that it is always a pleasure to play with them."
