Moura delighted to make winning start

The game's top scorer with 20 points, Natalia Pereira spikes through the Federbrau block

Federbrau coach Kiattipong Radchatagriengkai:
"My congratulations to the team from Brazil. It is a real honour for us to be here, to compete in this championship and test our ambitions against some of the best players in the world. We will try to play the next match even better but our next opponents (Fenerbahce) are also very strong, so it will be very difficult to get a victory. Nevertheless we are here to be part of the game and play with all our hearts."

Federbrau captain Wilavan Apinyapong:
"We are happy that even though it was a defeat, the Brazilians were not able to score their points too easily. We have the ambition to play even better against Fenerbahce."

Sollys Osasco coach Luizomar Moura:
"Many thanks to the Thai coach for his warm words. We came here to go for the title and since the tournament is very short, it is very important to start off with a victory. The Thais play very fast, they have many different combinations in attack and we needed some time to find the best way to cope with this way of playing. We want to continue our campaign and improve day after day to make it to the final."

Sollys Osasco captain Carolina Albuquerque:
"We needed some time to adapt to the Thai way of playing, as they are very fast and we normally do not play such opponents. I am happy that our first game ended with a victory but also because we showed some good quality. I am sure more is to come in the next games. My thanks go to the local organisers for their warm hospitality and the excellent conditions for this tournament."
