 Press Release
Dynamo Moscow looking to new blood

Alexey Kazakov is likely to be a major part of Dynamo Moscow's game plan at the 2010 FIVB Men's Club World Championship

Lausanne, Switzerland, December 10, 2010 – Dynamo Moscow may have made some significant changes to their team this season, but the 2010 CEV Champions League silver medallists are still confident they can mount a challenge at this month's FIVB Men's Club World Championship in Doha, Qatar.

The dynamic trio of Yury Berezhko, Alexander Volkov and Semen Poltavskiy have now left the club, the first two moving to Italy and the latter to rival Russian outfit Jaroslawich. The new players brought in to plug the gaps include Alexey Kazakov, who has performed successfully for the Russia national team for many years and was drafted in alongside Pavel Kruglov, back at the club after a year-long hiatus.

Additionally, Hungarian Peter Veres, who spent two solid seasons at Russian side Ural, comes in to join a team that features the experienced Brazilian Dante Amaral. Dynamo Moscow's main weapon could well be their block, where youngster Dmitry Shcherbinin should shine. His ability to act in an attack from the back line along with the experienced Roman Yakovlev gives Yury Cherednik's team an extra dimension.

Cherednik and his coaching staff have worked hard to prepare their players for the Club World Championship, striving to ensure they find their peak just ahead of their first match against defending champions Trentino on December 16.
