Too little, too late from homebound Al Ahly

Belchatow's Michal Winiarski and Marcin Mozdzonek try to stop an attack from Mohamed Thakil

PGE Skra Belchatow coach Jacek Nawrocki:
"I know they had a very difficult task to find the right motivation before this game after losing two matches in a row. They have very young and talented players but today they could not get into the game. I am happy with the result as we won this game and we did it in good style. As for the semis, we expect a tough game even though we do not know yet who will be our opponent. Dinamo and Bolivar play in a totally different way, so we'll prepare our tactics as soon as we know the guys we'll play against. Anyway, I am sure that the final outcome will depend on what happens on our side of the net."

PGE Skra Belchatow captain Mariusz Wlazly:
"It is not that easy to speak after a match like this. We are simply happy with this win and for qualifying for the semis as the best-ranked team of this Pool."

Al Ahly coach Ibrahim Fakhreldin:
"We found our rhythm only in the third set and I think that this was the best set we've played since the start of the competition here in Doha."

Al Ahly captain Mahmoud Abd El Kader:
"We started very nervous and we made too many errors. The third set was much better but we were afraid of playing against such a strong team."
