Opening win eases pressure, says Weber

Drean Bolivar celebrate their win over Paul Mitchell on Wednesday
Paul Mitchell coach Gary Sato:
"I hope that for the next games we are going to play a little bit better. Our next opponents have a strong reputation, they have strong players and programmes, but we’ll try to play hard and give our best against Dynamo (Moscow) and Trentino."

Paul Mitchell captain Tyler Hildebrand:
"It was a good game, especially in the first two sets we played really strong. In the third and fourth set they got three or four points of margin and they kept that until the end. For the next matches we know that this tournament is pretty short, so we'll watch videos of this game to see where we can improve, even though we cannot make major changes but only some adjustments."

Drean Bolivar coach Javier Weber:
"Congratulations to the American team, they are very strong and they know how to play. With this win we can look ahead to the next two games in a more relaxed mood as we are not the favourites and we will play without any pressure. We were a bit nervous but then we found our game and everything went smoothly for us."

Drean Bolivar captain Gabriel Arroyo:
"Our opponents were very strong and since this was the first game of the tournament we needed some time to find our rhythm and get into the game. As we played point for point, we knew we had very good players in our roster and also that we'd prepared the right tactics for the game with our coach, so that was the key – also psychologically – to turning the game in our favour."
