"If we can have the team spirit that we had today, we can win the semifinal” says Korean captain Kim Sa-Nee

The Korean players celebrate their qualification for the semis at the London Olympics, an outstanding result for the team around superstar Kim Yeon-Koung

London, Great Britain, August 7, 2012 – “Both teams played very well. I would like to congratulate my team, who worked very hard to get into the semifinal. We hope to continue playing very well” said Korean coach Kim Hyung Sil after the 3-1 win of his side against Italy.
Team captain Kim Sa-Nee added: “I am very happy to win the game, but at the same time I am sorry that I could not play today. If we can have the team spirit that we had today, we can win the semifinal”.

“I would like to congratulate the Korean team. They have absolutely deserved this victory. They played better than us in all situations. My team has played well in this tournament, but this evening Korea has played better” stressed Italy mentor Massimo Barbolini. “All the team of Korea played very well. Obviously with a player like Kim, number 10, who is one of the best players in the world, but the whole team were tougher against us and they were better in both defence and receiving”.
Captain and setter Eleonora Lo Bianco concluded: “I think that we could have done something better. We didn’t play like we can play”.
