Marcos Kwiek, Coach of Dominican Republic: The next match against the United States will be very difficult, we know that, but all the teams here are difficult.
On the Dominican Republic team's chances of going through:
I've got a lot of confidence in them but we've got a very young squad. We've worked very hard over the last few years.
Prisilla Rivera, Player of Dominican Republic: It was a very important game for us. We had to maintain our concentration and our rhythm but we knew we could win.
On the team's nerves after losing the first three matches:
We always have huge confidence in everything we do. We thought we played well in the first games but we just didn't get the results. We have trained hard for playing five or more games at this level.
On the potential of progressing to the medal matches:
The ball is round so everything is possible.
Karla Echenique, Player of Dominican Republic: We need to improve our concentration because towards the end of the third set we lost a few points because we weren't paying enough attention.
On qualifying to the quarterfinals:
We feel great. This is Dominican Republic's first time qualifying for the quarterfinals (at an Olympic Games).
On Brenda Castillo:
Brenda is the best libero in the tournament, probably the best in the world. All the time she comes in the top three in competitions, she has natural skills.
Lydia Oulmou, Captain of Algeria: They were very strong. They needed a victory to qualify, they really wanted to win this match.
On the competition:
The objective at the beginning, with all the problems we had (best players injuered), was to win a match. But we have a real lack of experience and we do not have an international level. There are no resources in Africa for volleyball. It is a great satisfaction to be in the Olympic Games, the best sport event of humankind. We will now enjoy our last moments visiting the city.
On the gold medal potential winner:
I believe that USA will win the gold medal. And the final will be Italy against USA.
