Kim is a key player for Korea

Many Korean fans were in the stands to cheer for their side in the match against Serbia

Kim Hyung Sil, Coach of Korea: Kim Yeon-Koung is absolutely necessary for our team to win and I trust her to carry out for our remaining games.

Kim Yeon-Koung, Player of Korea: I don’t know my personal- best scoring with the national team, maybe 35 points. I think that in the Korean League I have scored more than 40 in a match but I really think more about winning than in my points.

Zoran Terzic, Coach of Serbia: She (Kim) is one of the best players in the world, no doubts about it. We had a lot of problems to make blocks and defend against her.

Maja Ognjenovic, Captain of Serbia: I'm just disappointed as we started to play too late. In the first two sets we didn't do anything, we didn't organise any attacks. When they (Korea) are 2-0 in front, it is difficult to get back in the match. Now I think we have to concentrate on the next match and try to beat Turkey.
