Continental Confederations united in support for FIVB President’s vision for the future

Lausanne, Switzerland, December 6, 2019 - All five of the FIVB Continental Confederation Presidents, as well as the rest of the FIVB Executive Committee, voiced their unwavering support for FIVB President Dr. Ary S. Graça F° and his strong leadership after he outlined his vision and future plans at the FIVB Executive Committee meeting earlier this week.

In his opening speech, President Ary Graça emphasised the critical importance of good governance and transparency, and the ideas put forward by the President were strongly supported. Each of the Continental Confederation presidents reaffirmed their commitment to the growth of volleyball, and praised the FIVB for its professionalism and hard work in developing the sport.

In addition, all Continental Confederation leaders thanked the FIVB President for the various opportunities created for their National Federations. “The image of the FIVB is associated with transparency and good governance,” President Ary Graça said. “This is because we do everything with the upmost professionalism and integrity. We are always improving our management, bringing more experts and professionals in.

“We are innovating our sport, developing the disciplines, embracing digital innovation, artificial intelligence and improving the quality of our events. We all have different experiences, but together we are a force that can achieve a great deal.”

The FIVB President also talked about the growth of the International Federation since his election in 2012, and urged all confederations to continue innovating and maintain volleyball’s position at the cutting edge of sports technology and engagement.
