Sfaksi win 31st Men's Arab Volleyball Championship

11, 2013 - The 31st Men’s Arab Volleyball championship ended Sunday with
Tunis’s Sfaksi Club being crowned champions after beating Lebanon’s Boushriye
Club. Boushriye won the semi-finals after Egypt’s Al Ahli withdrew in the third set of their match with a score of 25-24 and with the teams tied 1-1. Al Ahli finished third overall after beating the Kazima club. This is the fifth title for Sfaksi club and the seventh for Tunis in the championship. Egyptian clubs have won the title six times. There were 15 teams from Tunis, Morocco, Libya, Kuwait, Egypt, Iraq, Oman and Lebanon participating in the 31st Arab men’s Clubs Volleyball Championship. The teams were divided into four groups, and the top two in each group qualified for the quarter finals.
