Egypt Boys claim African championship title
 
Egypt overcame Rwanda on the last day of competition to remain undefeated and take the 2013 Boys' Youth African Nations Championship crown
Sétif, Algeria, January 26, 2013 – Egypt claimed the title at the 12th Boys' Youth African Nations Championship following their third victory in a row over dark-horse finalists Rwanda. The took the final match 3-0 (25-20, 25-13, 25-22) at Sétif Hall in Algeria on Friday.

Tunisia ended their campaign with a 3-1 (18-25, 25-20, 25-21, 25-23) win against hosts Algeria.

Egypt's victory improved their win:loss ratio to 3:0. They clinch their third victory in the history of the competition. Tunisia finished second, with a 2:1 record, ahead of third-placed Rwanda (1-2) and the fourth-place Algeria (0-3).

The four teams secured their tickets to the FIVB World Championship of this age category, to be held in Mexico this summer.

Best Defense: Mohamed Ramdan (Egypt)

Most Valuable Player MVP: Larbi Hedroug (Algeria)
