FIVB President brings volleyball voice to the IOC Marketing Commission

Lausanne, Switzerland, January 21, 2019 – FIVB President Dr. Ary S. Graça F° attended the IOC Marketing Commission on Saturday, bringing volleyball’s marketing expertise to the wider Olympic family.

The meeting, led by IOC member Jiri Kejval, brought together key Olympic stakeholders to talk about the Marketing Commission’s vision for the future. The Commission also heard updates on the IOC TV and Marketing Services, as well as The Olympic Partner (TOP) programme. The IOC’s digital strategy was also discussed.

Following the meeting, the FIVB President said:
“I was delighted to join my colleagues at the IOC Marketing Commission to talk about the new trends in the marketing industry. Digital innovation is key to success. At the FIVB we have embraced digital transformation, which is not only a necessity but essential in helping us grow.”

The Marketing Commission advises the IOC Session, the IOC Executive Board and the IOC President, offering its guidance, perspective and ideas in all areas of Olympic marketing. The role of the Marketing Commission is to assist the IOC so that it continues to generate and grow long-term revenue streams for the entire Olympic Movement.
