FIVB President attends Chinese Taipei Olympic Academy

FIVB President Jizhong Wei spoke on his experience of the Olympic Movement at the four-day event
Chinese Taipei, September 9, 2011 – FIVB President Jizhong Wei was Keynote Speaker at the 34th session of the Chinese Taipei Olympic Academy last Sunday as he shared his experience of the Olympic Movement with 120 participants at the Technology and Science Institute of Northern Taiwan.

The event is held every year to help promote the fundamental principles of the Olympic Games and participants who shine are chosen to represent their country at the International Olympic Academy, which aims at studying, enriching and promoting Olympism.

The main theme at this year’s session was the Ideal and Practice of Olympism, with special topics on Sports and Environment and Capability and Dilemma of the Olympic Games.

President Wei, who is also a Honorary Vice-President of the Olympic Council of Asia, was also joined by IOC Member C.K. Wu as well as Chinese Taipei National Olympic Committee president Thomas Tsai.
