E-Book education shows way ahead for federations

The E-book, currently in English, will be translated into French, Spanish, Arabic in the future

Anaheim, USA, September 21, 2012 – A revolutionary educational E-book was presented by the Beach Volleyball Council to the FIVB World Congress during the final day of its three-day meeting in Anaheim, USA on Friday.

The E-book, which was conceived 18 months ago with the Beach Volleyball Continental Cup in mind, was created in order to provide basic knowledge on beach volleyball for developing national federations and others to provide examples to others.

The content is divided into four chapters - Introduction, How to Organize, How to Officiate, How to play Beach Volleyball.

Free, and on-line, it is a user friendly tool with a stress on illustrations and videos.It can be accessed at the following link:

“This will set the FIVB apart from many of the other international sports federations,” Beach Volleyball Council President Dr. Ary Graça said. “We are moving with society to bring education to our members in an easy to use and attractive format.”
The e-book can also be used as support material for federations as it also contains an extensive video gallery;  photos, graphs and schemes; case studies & further reading material; and ideas from successful organizations like Google

The E-book, currently in English, will be translated into French, Spanish, Arabic in the future.

Dr. Graça also reflected on the success of the Continental Cup which was run for the first time as a qualifying event for the London Olympic Games as well as the 2011 World Championships held in Rome, Italy.
