The 2019 World Cup Dream Team
Osaka, Japan, September 29, 2019 – Skipper Zhu Ting led China to another gold medal victory and headed the 2019 FIVB Volleyball Women’s World Cup Dream Team for the second time in a row, following the conclusion of the event in Osaka on Sunday.

Zhu Ting and her teammates picked up the gold medal after beating Argentina 3-0 (25-17, 25-14, 25-12) and completing their tournament sweep at the Maruzen Intec Arena Osaka.

Zhu delivered high-scoring performances in the tournament, totalling 178 points. She also won the Best Outside Spiker award.

“I suppose I have my own characteristics,” Zhu said. “I’m tall and blessed with physical abilities, and I’m glad I could show this (in this tournament).”

Zhu was joined in the Dream Team by three members of the gold-medal winning Chinese side – Yan Ni as Best Middle Blocker, Wang Mengjie as Best Libero and Ding Xia as Best Setter.

Two members of the USA squad that finished second to the Chinese Team also made the Dream Team, as Kelsey Robinson and Andrea Drews won the Best Outside Spiker and Best Opposite awards, respectively. Russia’s Irina Koroleva also won as Best Blocker.
