2014 FIVB World Grand Prix Media Guide online

The 2014 FIVB Volleyball World Grand Prix Media Guide features key information and statistics for all 28 teams

Lausanne, Switzerland, July 24, 2014 - The official 2014 FIVB Volleyball World Grand Prix Media Guide is now available.

The Media Guide features information on every team participating in the tournament, as well as key statistics from past competitions and the most up-to-date schedule and competition formula.

The FIVB Volleyball World Grand Prix enters its 22nd year in 2014, with 28 teams set to take part in the prestigious annual volleyball competition for women. The favourites are undoubtedly defending champions and Olympic gold medallists, Brazil. But their Russian counterparts are also looking to make their mark on the FIVB Volleyball World Grand Prix in the lead up to their title defence at the FIVB Volleyball Women’s World Championship Italy 2014, which will take place in six cities – Rome, Bari, Verona, Trieste, Modena and Milan – from September 23 to October 12.

The FIVB Volleyball World Grand Prix 2014 will end with three Finals – in Japan, Poland and Bulgaria. These will serve as the climax to the competition for the teams in Groups 1, 2 and 3 respectively. The competition kicks off on July 25 with matches in Pools J, K, P and Q. The Group 2 Finals will take place in Koszalin, Poland from August 15-16. They will be followed by the Group 3 Finals in Samokov, Bulgaria, from August 16-17. The Group 1 Finals will take place in Tokyo, Japan, from August 20-24.
