Ghana, Nigeria in final phase of Women's World Championship qualification
Abidjan, Cote d'Ivoire, November 30, 2013 – Ghana’s and Nigeria’s women's volleyball teams have clinched their tickets to the final phase of the 2014 FIVB Women's World Championship after they finished in the top two positions in Zone 3 (Pool O) of the African qualifier held at the Forum de l'Université de Cocody in Abidjan, Cote d'Ivoire.
Ghana defeated Togo 3-0 (25-15, 25-11, 25-18) for their third consecutive victory in the four nations tournament. Ghana claimed the gold medal with a win-loss ratio of 3-0 (8 points).
Nigeria overcame Cote d'Ivoire 3-0 (25-23, 25-19, 25-12) to improve to 2-1 (6 points) to finish second and qualify for the final phase, while Cote d'Ivoire dropped to 1-2 (4 points). Togo finished fourth with 0-3.
Ghana and Nigeria will now join the first pool of the final phase along with Algeria, Botswana, Cameroon, RD Congo and Egypt

Pool 2: Kenya- Zone 7 winner- Zone 5 winner- Zone 1 winner- Zone 2 winner- Zone 6 runner up- Zone 2 runner up.
