Netherlands take two of three games against Finland

Netherlands coach Edwin Benne believes his team is ready for Dominican Republic
Rotterdam, Netherlands, August 21, 2012 – In preparation for their upcoming qualification matches against Dominican Republic, the Dutch played a three-game series against Finland. They came away with two wins.

The first two games, on August 19 and 20, went the Netherlands’ way as they earned back-to-back 3-1 victories over the 31st ranked Finns. On August 21, however, they lost 3-2.

After the last game, Netherlands coach Edwin Benne was pleased with his team despite the defeat.

"Today I again saw confirmation that there is enormous potential in this group," said Benne. "Last year we lost three times to the Finns, and now we managed to win two games. If we can maintain the level we have now, then I think we have a good chance to beat the Dominican Republic."

The first game against the Dominican Republic is on Friday.
