Lausanne, Switzerland, July 26, 2012 – Some of the stars of past Olympic Games have offered their insight ahead of London 2012 in the latest issued of VolleyWorld, which is now online in English, French, Russian, Portuguese and Spanish.
The latest edition has an Olympic feel to it, with the Games featuring heavily ahead of the opening ceremony, set to take place in the Great British capital on Friday.
Former volleyball medallists Regla Torres Herrera of Cuba and Andrea Zorzi of Italy discuss the women’s and men’s tournaments respectively while Sydney 2000 gold medallist Australia’s Kerri Pottharst and Atlanta 1996 Olympian USA’s Sinjin Smith discuss the women’s and men’s beach volleyball.
We also hear from some of the athletes that will take centre stage in London as they discuss what the Olympics means to them.
