Giba: We have 12 players, it does not matter who starts in the lineup

Brazil captain Giba during the press conference.
Cuba captain Wilfredo Leon: “The beginning of the match was very good, but then unfortunately it was worse. We made a lot of errors, but we are happy with our attitude. We played without our three top players, but the rest of us is really well prepared.”

Brazil captain Giba: “Every match against Cuba is unbelievable. They have a very strong team, they are well prepared and it is always hard, as it was, for example, in the World Championships final. They are very good as a team. We have 12 players, it does not matter who starts in the lineup. We play for the team. As I said before, now we have to think about the next game. ”

Cuba coach Orlando Samuels Blackwood: “I am very happy with the game. This is a very young team, and not everyday you can play with Brazil. I am happy with the way my team fought today. After lessons like this maybe one day we will be able to win with a team like Brazil. (Robertlandy) Simon is not able to play, but we have to deal with it.”

Brazil coach Bernardo Rezende: “I want to congratulate Cuba's coach, he has done an amazing job. This is a team even younger than last year, after a long, hard tournament, seven weeks on tour. Maybe I made some wrong decisions today, but this is what my job is about. This is what coaches do, we make decisions. I am very unhappy with the attitude of my team in the first part of the match, thankfully it was better in the second part. Now we have other difficult matches ahead, with teams more experienced and older.”
