The Chinese men’s national volleyball team has a history of about 50 years. It has participated in the World Championships eleven times (its best ranking was 7th place), the Olympic Games once and the World League in 1990, 1992-1997, 2002 and 2004 and the World Cup 1999 and 2003. Changes have been made to the team in 2005, bringing in younger players and reducing the average age to around 23. The average height is 1.96m.
Mr. Di Anhe has been re-appointed as head coach for this newly built team, which will train for the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. |
