AVC Eastern/South-eastern Referees Seminar held in Kaohsiung

Fifteen people took part in the referees seminar
 Kaohsiung, Chinese Taipei, November 28, 2015 – An AVC Eastern/ South-eastern Chairman and Secretary of Referee Committee Seminar was held at the weekend in Kaohsiung, Chinese Taipei, with 15 persons taking part.

Huang Kuo Kwang, Vice President of the Chinese Taipei Volleyball Association, and Huang Han Yung, President of the Kaohsiung Volleyball Association, jointly presided over the opening ceremony on November 28.

The two-day seminar was conducted by AVC Referee Committee Chairman Songsak Chareonpong. Fifteen chairpersons and secretaries from nine national federations in the Eastern Zone and South-eastern Zone – including Chinese Taipei, China, Korea, Hong Kong, Malaysia and Thailand – took part in the seminar.

The course, which is conducted in the form of interactive lectures, group discussions – to allow a maximum exchange of views – and Q&A sessions, concluded on Sunday.

According to Mr. Songsak, the main objectives of the seminar were to prepare a new generation of referees for future International Referee Candidate Courses and to enhance both the quality and quantity of referees in Asia.

It also aimed to support all national federations in updating information regarding the FIVB Referee database.
