Updated Multimedia Teaching Material for Referees now available

Lausanne, Switzerland, October 8, 2015 – The FIVB’s popular Multimedia Teaching Material for Referees has now been updated to take into account new rule modifications approved by the FIVB Congress in 2014.

The design and technology behind the Multimedia Teaching Material has been updated, with less experienced instructors and those in developing countries able to access material easier, extending the range of users who can benefit from the tool.

Originally produced to introduce the complete set of indoor volleyball rules and regulations to referees, referee instructors, players and fans, the Multimedia Teaching Material covers specifics of the rulebook, refereeing guidelines, protocol and instructions. It also forms part of the FIVB’s ongoing commitment to creating e-learning tools for all stakeholders.

The Multimedia Teaching Material 2015 includes, among other features:
- A special summary of the latest rule modifications;
- On-screen explanations together with video guides;
- Updated net rule videos;
- New materials in a range of topics with updated information and advice for less experienced instructors.

The 2015 version of the Multimedia Teaching Material for Referees is now available online and can also be downloaded. Spanish and French editions will also follow.
