Cuban Osmany Juantorena Portuondo was the best server in last year's FIVB Men's Club World Championship in Qatar
Luxembourg, Luxembourg, January 25, 2010 – FIVB Men’s Club World Volleyball Championship best server Osmany Juantorena Portuondo was the best spiker in the preliminary rounds of the CEV Indesit Champions League.
The Cuban, who won the Club World Championship with Trentino BetClic last November, had 81 attack kills and averaged 3.37 points per set.
Portuondo was previously named best receiver at the FIVB 2005 World League, where he also picked up a bronze medal.
Additionally, American Clayton Stanley from Russian side Zenit Kazan was revealed as best server with 14 aces and a set average of 0.93.
In the women’s competition, VakifGunesTTelekom Istanbul’s Turkish player, Neslihan Darnel was best scorer, picking up 123 points at an average of 5.35 per set.
