FIVB President Dr Ary S. Graça F° today wrapped up a three-part video series dedicated to development support, addressing both Olympic Solidarity grants and the importance of reinvesting money from the Olympic Games back into sport.

Since 2017, 159 grants have been approved for volleyball and beach volleyball. Specifically, 58 Technical Courses for Coaches, 39 Olympic Scholarships for Coaches, 26 National Sport Grants and 36 Team Support Grants.

Speaking about the programme, the FIVB President said:

“The FIVB is working closely with the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and Olympic Solidarity to ensure that volleyball and beach volleyball teams can receive grants to help in their preparations for Tokyo 2020 and beyond. Four volleyball teams supported through team support grants qualified for the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020: the Kenya and Turkey women’s national teams and the Argentina men’s and women’s national teams.”
