All the children received gold medals at the first Balkan Kids Volleyball Festival
Istanbul, Turkey, May 24, 2014 – The first edition of the Balkan Kids Volleyball Festival has come to an end and all the participating kids were awarded gold medals at the close. Kids from Albania, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Bulgaria, F.Y.R. of Macedonia, Greece, Moldavia, Romania, Serbia and Turkey played volleyball all day long and made cross-cultural communication.

With great efforts from the Balkan Volleyball Association (BVA) and Turkish Volleyball Federation (TVF), the organization created a friendly atmosphere and, as the festival’s motto said, “Volleyball won.”

At the start of the festival, there was a minute’s silence for the victims of the flood disaster in Bosnia & Herzegovina and Serbia, and the mine disaster in Soma, Turkey.

All participating kids were awarded gold medals from TVF President Ozkan Mutlugil, Bosnia & Herzegovina Volleyball Federation President Milutin Popovic, BVA Marketing Commission President Zoran Avramovic and the Corporate Communications and Marketing Director of Vialand, Özlem Ersoylu Mutluer.

In a gesture of appreciation of the TVF, Mr. Mutlugil gave plaques to Mr. Popovic, Mr. Avramovic and Ms. Mutluer.

After the closing ceremony, the kids had fun in Vialand amusement park to end an unforgettable day in Istanbul, thanks to sports and volleyball.
