Leaders of AVC and NORCECA applaud bilateral exchange
Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, October 25, 2013 – The two-day bilateral meetings between the Asian Volleyball Confederation and NORCECA Confederation concluded in Santo Domingo on Friday with the presidents of both institutions expressing their satisfaction about the productive exchange.
Dr. Saleh Bin Nasser, president of AVC, said this kind of relationship must be repeated in the future given the excellent results achieved on this occasion.
“We have had a very productive series of meetings with our colleagues from NORCECA Confederation and both parts have benefitted from each other,” Bin Nasser said.
“I am looking forward to have further meetings in the future”, Bin Nasser added. “During the two days of exchange with the different departments of NORCECA, we have learned a lot from each other about all the main topics referred in the working agenda.”
Additionally, Cristobal Marte Hoffiz, president of NORCECA, commented on the positive effects of the exchange between the two institutions.
“The experience has been very good and I think we have taken big steps in different fields and everybody was enthusiastic about the experience,” Marte Hoffiz said.
The visitors from the Asian Confederations had separate meetings with the directors of the NORCECA departments of National Federations, Press, Development, Beach Volleyball, Legal, Medical and Finances.
During the visit to the NORCECA headquarters in Santo Domingo, Dr. Bin Nasser was accompanied by FIVB Honorary President Mr. Jizhong Wwi, FIVB Executive Vice President Mr. Essa Hamza Ahmad, AVC Tokyo Office Director Mr. Atsuchi Katoch, and Japan Volleyball Association executive member Mr. Kojima Kazuyuk.
The two-day meetings with the directors of the different departments of NORCECA were organized to enhance the relations between the two continental confederations and the benefits of discussing the mutual experiences in the different areas.
