Russia's and Armenia's Volleyball families sign memorandum of cooperation

 
To celebrate the partnership between Russia’s and Armenia’s Volleyball families, 30 pine trees were planted at the ‘Volley Grad’ sports complex.

Anapa, Russia, October 16, 2013 – The premises of the ‘Volley Grad’, the Volleyball complex set up by the Russian Volleyball Federation in the village of Vityazevo, near Anapa, recently played host to a meeting between Russia’s and Armenia’s volleyball governing bodies.

A memorandum of understanding was signed between the two parties to foster the development of volleyball in these countries.

Russia has committed to share its knowledge and expertise with Armenia through the partnership. Armenia is need of much support to get volleyball back on track after a long absence from the international scene.

The agreement was signed by the Presidents of the Russian and Armenian Volleyball Federations, Stanislav Shevchenko and Karen Asmaryan, under the patronage of former Russian Volleyball Federation President, Nikolai Patrushev, who is currently the Chairman of the Security Council of Russia and his Armenian counterpart, Artur Baghdasaryan.
