International teacher's seminar in Uruguay

 
The seminar was attended by 53 participants

Montevideo, Uruguay, September 28, 2013 – An international teacher’s seminar started on Saturday in the city of Montevideo, organised by the FIVB-FeVA Argentine Volleyball Regional Development Centre (CDRV). The course will run until October 2.

Cuban Argelio Pacual Hernandezz Rodriguez will direct the seminar in collaboration with CDRV President, Gabriel Salvio.

Members of the Uruguayan Volleyball Federation and CDRV officials were present at the opening of seminar, the first CDRV event conducted outside Argentina.

Guido Palleiro (Vice-President of the Uruguayan Volleyball Federation), Gabriel Salvia (CDRV President), Argelio Hernandez (lecturer), Julio Perez Alfano (President of the Uruguayan Volleyball Federation), Daniel Santos (Secretary of the Uruguayan Volleyball Federation) and Gustavo Pereira, (representing the Uruguayan Board of Administration) were all present at the opening ceremony.

Salvia expressed his enthusiasm for the seminar saying, "It is with great pride for our Regional Development Centre to be able to carry out this activity in keeping with our goal to help the knowledge grow in the whole region."

The Uruguayan Volleyball Federation worked hard to carry out this project together with the CDRV. It will be the first joint organising experience for the Development Centres with the support of the International Volleyball Federation. In Argentina, the seminar will be carried out in Caleta Olivia in Santa Cruz and then in Neuquen.

Prior meetings were held by Salvia with Uruguayan officials Guido Salvo (official), Luis Baladon and Ivan Ergui, who are both members of the coaching team of Uruguay in the city of Montevideo.
