Beach volleyball coaching course completed in Iran
The course was supervised by top officials of the Iran Volleyball Federation, including Federation President Mohammad Reza Davarzani; Hassan Manouri, Director of the Federation’s Beach Volleyball Committee; and Javad Mehregan, Secretary General of the Education Committee.
Thirty-five people from all over Iran took part in the programme.
The nine-day course started off with an opening ceremony, followed by an outline of the structure of the FIVB, a history of beach volleyball and a practical evaluation of the participants.
Most of the course was taken up with instruction on beach volleyball techniques and tactics, including specific techniques, court construction and broader topics. These topics included event organisation, tournament studies, and matters concerning promoters and officials.
There were also presentations on training, and Iranian referee Nader Ansari gave a lecture on the rules of beach volleyball.
The course ended with a course review and discussion, followed by a closing ceremony.
A number of national team players were involved in the demonstrations, which participants described as “very good.”
The participants were also presented with DVDs and photos as teaching aids.
