The seven day course, which included theoretical and practical sessions that featured a lot of passion from all the participants who were happy to learn the modern techniques and tactics, was instructed by Mayam Blaise from Cameroon and attracted 25 very interested young players from all over the country.

"It is very important for the FIVB and CAVB to organise these kind of  courses in Africa to help young players to increase their level at this fruitful age," said Mr Blaise after the closing ceremony. "I'm happy with the spirit of all the participants as I think that the course will help them to develop their performance in the future."

The objective of the FIVB Young Players Course is to foster young talent and to motivate their future participation in volleyball. By teaching games like drills, young players learn the fundamental techniques needed to advance in the field of volleyball.
