Sri Lanka continues beach volleyball growth with VCP

 
A total of 28 candidates are participating on the course
Negombo, Sri Lanka, March 21, 2012 – Sri Lanka began a FIVB Volleyball Cooperation Programme Beach Volleyball Training Course on Tuesday on Negombo Beach, just north of the capital Colombo.

A total of 28 candidates are participating in the course with Qatar’s Mohammed Benhamida, who is familiar with the country having visited for a course in 2011, directing.

Beach volleyball is a growing sport in Sri Lanka with the country hosting a zonal tournament during the AVC Beach Volleyball Continental Cup in January, with the host’s men’s team sealing bronze and the women’s side clinching silver.

The course will conclude on Saturday.
