Clinic for school coaches held in St. Croix

School coaches from St. Croix, the Virgin Islands received volleyball equipment during the clinic organized by the national federation with the support of NORCECA |
St Croix, Virgin Islands, March 11, 2012 - A clinic for coaches from the elementary boys and girls school league has been held in St Croix on the Virgin Islands with the participation of nine schools from the St Croix District.
The clinic was conducted by the Virgin Islands Volleyball Federation's (VIVF) executive director, Desiree Miranda, who is also the St. Croix Interscholastic Association (SCIAA) elementary volleyball commissioner.
Miranda provided to the participating schools in the program with volleyballs which were donated by NORCECA for all of the participating teams.
At the clinic Miranda stated that "the VIVF is extremely grateful to NORCECA for their continued support of volleyball in the Virgin Islands and the Caribbean."
The participating coaches represented the following elementary schools: Alexander Henderson, Alfredo Andrews, Charles H. Emmanuel, Claude O. Markoe, Eulalie Rivera, Evelyn Williams, Juanita Gardine, Pearl B. Larsen and Ricardo Richards.
The elementary school league in the District of St.Thomas is scheduled to begin in April with approximately 12 teams.
