FIVB São Paulo Grand Slam information fact sheet

Brazil’s Lima/Antunes are currently top of the leader board and continue to lead the 2013 FIVB World Tour/FIVB Opens with 6,090 points and $201,500 in earnings.

Lausanne, Switzerland, October 7, 2013 – With the São Paulo Grand Slam set to start Tuesday, a fact sheet bringing together pertinent information on the 2013 FIVB Beach Volleyball season is now available on

The tournament in Brazil, which will run from Tuesday through to Sunday will be the ninth of 10 FIVB World Tour Grand Slams as the 2013 Grand Slam schedule will now end in China, with the double-gender FIVB Xiamen Grand Slam scheduled to take place from October 22 to 27.

Held at the Parque Villas Lobos, the
FIVB São Paulo Grand Slam will mark the 35th time that Brazil has hosted a men’s and 30th time Brazil has hosted a women’s FIVB international beach volleyball world tour event. Brazil is hosting an FIVB World Tour event for the 27th consecutive year.

Brazil has staged a FIVB Beach Volleyball World Tour event every year since the start of the international circuit for men in 1987 and women in 1992.
