VolleyWorld No. 4 is devoted exclusively to beach volleyball at the London Olympics, while VolleyWorld No. 5 provides exhaustive coverage of volleyball at the 2012 Games | Lausanne, Switzerland, November 20, 2012 – The FIVB released two special editions of VolleyWorld magazine on Tuesday, devoted entirely to volleyball and beach volleyball at the 2012 Olympics.
These retrospective issues – featuring extra pages, an expanded format and unique cover designs – explore in detail the massive success of both disciplines at the Games this summer, as a largely new audience was introduced to the skill and excitement on display at two of London's iconic venues.
VolleyWorld No. 4 is all about beach volleyball at Horse Guards Parade, including a review of the Olympic results, expert opinion and analysis, a spotlight on standout performances and the discipline’s expanding relevance in new continents and countries that was clearly demonstrated in London.
VolleyWorld No. 5 is devoted to volleyball. More expert analysis from former players and commentators supplement a review of the exciting matches at Earls Court and a look back at several great players who are stepping back from international competition in the wake of the 2012 Games. It also includes a compelling account of a "reporter's eye view" of events unfolding at Earls Court.
