Pottharst: Brazilians are the ones to watch

Emanuel Rego and Alison Cerutti are the only "sure pick" for a place in the men's final according to Kerri Pottharst
London, Great Britain, August 7, 2012 – Australian Kerri Pottharst has tipped the Brazilian duos to reach the finals in both the men’s and women’s beach volleyball tournament at Horse Guards Parade in her latest blog for the FIVB website.

"Juliana and Larissa are on fire and Kessy and Ross could very well be the next good team to get burnt," Pottharst said. "I think it will be a Brazil-China gold medal match with Misty and Kerri winning the bronze, but as we have seen anything can happen like it has with the men and women’s competition.

"Among the men’s competition so far, I think Brazil’s Alison and Emanuel are dominating and they are the only sure pick for a spot in the gold medal match.”

Pottharst famously won gold with Nathalie Cook at the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games in front of her home fans. She is now a highly sought after Motivational Speaker as well as spending time on the sand coaching beach volleyball.
