Seoul Challenger heats up in Korea

Miller Elwin (right) and Iatika Henriette will battle for a place in the semifinals on Saturday | Seoul, Korea, June 1, 2012 – Top seeds Miller Elwin and Iatika Henriette from Vanuatu will face fifth seeds Ying Huang and Lingdi Zhu of China in round four of the FIVB Challenger in Seoul, Korea on Saturday with the winners booking their place in the semifinals.
Meanwhile, Germany’s Christine Aulenbrock and Chantal Laboureur will clash with compatriots Geeske Banck and Kira Walkenhorst in the other Round four match, with four more teams meeting in the losers bracket on Saturday.
German and Chinese teams make up the majority of the teams left, with representatives also from USA, Japan and Vanuatu as mentioned above.
It is the second year in a row that the Korean capital has hosted a Challenger with Germany’s Karla Borger and Britta Büthe winning last year’s tournament.
This year there is a total of $50,000 in prize money on offer.
