Fernanda VENTURINI (BRA) - captain

"Congratulations to the team of Cuba. They dominated the match today. They managed to gain many aces. They are a very good team and they have a lot to give to Volleyball."

On her impression of the tournament:

"The organization was great. We heard, back in Brazil, that everything was late, but when we came here we saw the opposite. This is my fourth Olympic Games and I think that they are great. We had the great experience of finding everything perfect."

On what are her feelings after this match:

"It's been two years since the Championship in Japan. Today I am not happy to have finished without a medal. We would like to have gained the bronze. Nevertheless, there are more matches to come."

Yumilka RUIZ LUACES (CUB) - captain

"It was a difficult match against a strong opponent. We are very happy and proud to have earned the bronze medal."

On her impression of this Tournament:

"The organization and the premises are excellent. I would like to thank the wonderful staff. We leave on the 31st and we have a wonderful opportunity to visit the city of Athens."

Jose GUIMARAES (BRA) - head coach

"Congratulations to the Cuban team. They have a young and promising team. We came in with a defeat against Russia. This affected us a lot. We faced problems with counterattacks. We hope to do better in the future."

On their experience of the Olympic Games:

"It was great. The best Olympic Games ever; the sports activities, the venues, the Olympic Village. I would like to thank the Greek people and the volunteers. It was the best Olympic Games in history."

Luis Felipe CALDERON BIET (CUB) - head coach

"I believe that they had problems overcoming their defeat against Russia. The team in front of us was not the Brazil we know. They were affected. They have worked a lot for the gold medal. We hope that we will meet again in the future.

On their experience of the Olympic Games:

"These Olympic Games were fantastic. The athletes could train well and were able to compete in good sports venues. There was a lot of human quality and atmosphere of solidarity. In one word, fantastic."

On the future of the team of Cuba:

"Obviously, it is very difficult to follow the long and victorious history of the Cuban team. It is a beautiful experience to have young people who follow the example of their previous co-athletes. Our goal was to reach the six best teams of this tournament and we gained the bronze medal. We are very happy."
