Women s Olympic Games 2004 - Press Conference

Press conference

Greece beat Kenya 3-0 (25-7, 25-22, 25-14) - duration 1:05
14-Aug, start time: 16:00, end time: 17:05 - Attendance: 2'650
City: Athens; Hall : Peace and Friendship Stadium
Muge ABDULRAHMAN KIBET (KEN) - Head coach

On today's match against Greece:

"The match was good. It was the first time that we had come up against Greece. We had a bad first set. We lost the second set due to the mistakes that we made. We had a high rhythm but no resources to meet the Greek team. We lost mainly because of our weak attack. We mostly play against African teams; that's why we do not have knowledge of how other teams play and what we are up against. Nevertheless, we hope to reach the knock outs".

Dimitrios FLOROS (GRE) - Head coach

On today's match:

"We wish the best of luck to Kenya for their next matches. For us, it was a historical game, as it is the first time that we competed at the Olympic Games. We had a very good performance, especially in the first set. In the second set, Kenya reacted, but so did we. We will do the best we can to have the greatest performance ever. Now, we turn our attention to the next match against Korea".
