Argentina holds on to beat Tunisia in timebreaker
Argentina resisted a surprisingly strong challenge from Tunisia to win a fantastic five-set encounter 3-2 (25-20, 23-25, 25-16, 22-25, 15-10) at the Peace and Friendship Stadium on Tuesday.

The results puts Argentina top of Pool A with two wins from two matches while claimed their first two sets of the tournament.

Guided by Marcos MILINKOVIC, who scored nine points in the first set, Argentina took charge right from the beginning of the match. Once they had claimed the first set it looked as though Tunisia were never going to be in the game.
However, the second set was a different story. In their opening defeat to Greece, Tunisia had already showed signs of good team. But ti still came as a surprise to see them claim the second set. Marouane FEHRI and Noureddine HFAIEDH led their team to the 25-23 victory.

At 1-1 Argentina were determined not to allow Tunisia to take advantage and with good blocking and finishing by MILINKOVIC, Jorge Alberto ELGUETA and Alejandro SPAJIC the South Americans wrapped things up in 21 minutes.
To the surprise of everyone again Tunisia wouldn't give up and they responded with another fantastic display in the fourth set. Despite Argentina's late run, Tunisia still held on to force the tiebreak.

Argentina took the early lead in the tiebreak but Tunisia came back with a streak of spikes from HFAIEDH- FEHRI to go ahead 10-9. But then, two aces by Leonardo PATTI and two kill-blocks by Pablo PERALTA guided Argentina to a 6-0 run that sealed their victory, 15-10.
