Serbia and Montenegro beat Greece 3-2 (21-25, 38-36, 25-13, 23-25, 15-12) - duration 2:24
23-Aug, start time: 19:30, end time: 21:54 - Attendance: 9'415
City: Athens; Hall : Peace and Friendship Stadium
Goran VUJEVIC (SCG) - wing spiker

"We played very well today. This is our second match without Milkovic. It is very difficult for us; we have an important player of our team in hospital. We are very happy for our win today. We did not expect it. We came here to win and we hope we succeed."

Antrej KRAVARIC (GRE) - universal

"We were determined to win today. We really wanted to be the first in rank and play against an easy opponent. If we had won the second set we would have won the match. We tried very hard. Our opponents were calm, made fewer mistakes and they deserved to win this match. It was an heroic effort today and obviously we wanted to win."

Ljubomir TRAVICA (SCG) - head coach

"We knew that this would be a difficult match. I am very happy with my team's efforts. Unfortunately, Milkovic and some other players are in the hospital with a virus. We hope it all goes well."

Stylianos PROSALIKAS (GRE) - head coach

"I am very proud of my team and their efforts. We struggled hard to claim first place in the pool until the fifth set. We would have won if things had gone differently. I hope Kravaric's injury gets better. There is one more match left on Wednesday. We will try our best."
