TURKEY shine at GIRLS' YOUTH VOLLEYBALL champs
The FIVB Volleyball Girls' Youth World Championship
2011 welcomed many of the world’s emerging volleyball stars under the age
of 19 to Ankara, Turkey from August 12-21 to compete for the most prestigious
trophy in international age grade volleyball.
The tournament featured 16 teams from all over the world
and provided a golden opportunity for the up-and-coming young athletes to sharpen their skills
in the international arena and showcase the sport. It was hosts Turkey who
came out on top, seeing off China in the final.
