S16 teams will participate in the FIVB Volleyball Girls' Youth World Championship 2011.

This is how the 16 teams were decided:

As hosts of the competition, Turkey qualified automatically for the Championship.

The 15 remaining teams qualified thanks to the Continental Championships:
- Egypt and Algeria won the two qualifying places available at the 2011 Youth African Championship.
- Japan, China and Thailand won the three qualifying places available at the 2010 Youth Asian Championship.
- Turkey, Italy, Serbia, Germany and Poland won the five qualifying  places following the 2011 Youth European Championship.
- USA, Mexico and Puerto Rico won the three qualifying places available at the 2010 Youth NORCECA Championship.
- Brazil and Argentina won the two qualifying places available at the 2010 Youth South American Championship.
