Team profile

The Thailand girls' team has long been one of the leading sides in Asia.

In the 2009 FIVB Volleyball Girls' Youth World Championship in Nakhonratchasima the team earned a seventh place finish, the second best in Asia.

Furthemore, last year the team was in the top three at the Asian’s Youth Girls Championship held in Manila. Their goal for the 2011 FIVB Volleyball Girls’ Youth World Championship in Turkey is a top five finish.

Coach profile

Jarun Niemtuptim coaching career began at Ayutthaya Technical Commercial School and he led the junior women’s team to runners-up at the national youth games in 2008 before winning it in 2009 and earning silver again in 2010. He then went on to coach Thai club Ayutthaya Province, leading them to the Volleyball Thailand League title in 2010 and second place in 2011.

He was appointed to be the coach of the girls’ youth team in where he took them to third at the Asian Youth Girls’ Volleyball Championship in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

He has set the aim of a fifth place finish at the 2011 FIVB Volleyball Girls’ Youth World Championship this year.
