Team profile

Slovakia began their youth programme in 2011 and were successful from the start. They qualified for 2011 CEV European Youth Championships in Ankara, Turkey and finished sixth, booking a ticket to the 2011 FIVB Volleyball Girls’ Youth World Championship in Ankara, Turkey at the same time. The team is lead by coach Eva Kosekova.
Coach profile

Eva Kosekova was born  on in February 1965 in Poprad. As a player she played for Kežmarok (1981 - 84), Slávia UK Bratislava (1984 - 91) before moving to Italy to turn out for Palermo (1991/92) and Carrarese (1992/93) and finally Switzerland's Wattwill (2000/01). She is former national team player for the former Czechoslovakia. She played in the European Championships 1989 in Germany and 1991 in Italy. She has coached several junior teams for a number of years and from summer 2010 she took over the Slovakia girls' team. She has also spent the last six years with Bilikova Bratislava club and from next season she will be head coach of the women's club Doprastav Bratislava.
