American coach hopes players will learn from mistakes against Mexico

USA head coach James Stone: "We had an uneven performance in the match against Mexico. We attacked well, but in some critical situations, my players made too many mistakes. I think Mexico played well with a wonderful defence. We beat them before in the Norceca Championship final, but we got changes in a few players in our team. We next play Belgium. I think my players should learn from the mistakes they made in this match and hope they will come up with the better performance tomorrow."

Captain Carly Wopat: "Our teamwork is quite okay, but in some moments, we could not play well. However, I’m happy with our form. We will work on and learn more from next matches."

Mexico head coach Ricardo de Jesux Nar: "When I learned that we have to take on the USA again here, I spent more times studying the strategic plan for the tough match against them. We also underwent weight training to maintain our physical fitness. I know that it’s very difficult to play in the World Championship. I just want to see my players to keep their good form one at a time."

Captain Xitlali Herrera: "We next take on Japan. Actually, we have never played an Asian team before. Only a few players in our team played South Korea. However, I hope we can cope well with their performance."
